At KNM Computers not only do we sell everything you need for your pc, we also do:

Nobody likes a nasty surprise when they get the bill. That’s why, wherever possible, it is our policy to give you a fixed price quote. Sometimes this might not be possible for those jobs where it is not easy to know how long a job will take. In that case we will always give you our best estimate, and we will always keep you up to date, and will always discuss any extra costs with you before proceeding.
We are not vat-registered, and therefore there will be no VAT added to your bill.
We will always give you an honest opinion about whether work is economically worth doing. We would rather you trust and recommend us, and use us in the future, than take money for doing something that’s not worth doing.
All prices exclude any parts required. We will advise in advance where parts may be required. We charge for parts at cost (including any postage costs required for us to get the part). We do not add a mark-up for parts.
All payments are due at completion of the work. We believe our prices are very competitive. All parts, data, licenses etc remain the property of KNM Computers until payment is made.
We cannot be held responsible for any personal or monetary value attached to the contents of your PC.

We can pick up your PC/laptop and drop it off when it is fixed free of charge. This applies to Stevenage in Hertfordshire only, a 60p per mile charge (by Google map directions) from SG2 8GD for all other areas in Hertfordshire. No pickup outside Hertfordshire although you’re welcome to send us your PC, Laptop or Console by arrangement. This can all be booked from the "Mail in Repair" tab at the top of the page.
Prices start from 10 pounds with a complete re-install of your operating system from just £35 for a standard install.
In our repairs, we try and use original components where possible, the parts and labour come with 90 days warranty. As soon as your device arrives, it will be inspected and assessed for repairs. There are some faults which we might not be able to fix. If this is the case, there is a £30 flat/diagnose fee for the time spent on to your device. If we make any repairs to your device, you won’t have to pay the £30 fee, you just pay the outstanding bill.
Prior repair attempts:
We're happy to work on devices which have had prior repair attempts, but this cannot be offered for free due to time restraints. Devices which have had previous repair attempts are harder for us to work on and as such, we will charge a £40 repair attempt fee on all devices which have a previously failed repair attempt. This is to protect ourselves and our business and to ensure we can dedicate the additional time required in order to repair your device. This also includes technician damage and home repair attempt damage. This fee will be payable whether we can fix your device or not and must be paid before your device will be returned.
We regret we can only take jobs from the UK.
Note:
Whilst we take the greatest care of your property, things can always go wrong with your computer whether it is with you or with us. This is especially true when computer viruses are involved as these can damage windows in such a way that it becomes unusable. Therefore, it is your responsibility to ensure that you have a backup copy of any valuable data on your PC, plus the original installation disks and license keys for Windows and any additional software you have installed. If you do not have a data backup or the original software disks and licenses, please make us aware in advance so we can assist and advise.
Although it is unlikely to happen, we cannot be held responsible for loss of data due to hardware failure, you should always remember to back up your data, as hard drive failures could happen at any time.
Unfortunately, KNM Computers is not liable for any loss of data that occurred due to the failure of hardware, software or any other third-party device prior to starting the repair work. Any data that is corrupted by the presence of virus or spyware in your computer already can’t be compensated by us. KNM Computers shall not be held liable for faulty hardware which may become damage during software repairs (software cannot damage hardware, but for example, a full virus scan may cause a hard disk failure if the hard disk is already in a weakened state). Any problem or loss that occurred due to uncontrollable reasons may not be attributed to our service. KNM Computers cannot be liable for any delay in repair work due to any cause that is not under human control. ALWAYS REMEMBER TO BACKUP YOUR DATA
All work is covered by a 90-day guarantee. If the same problem comes back again within 90 days due to no fault of your own, we will rectify the fault or give you a full refund. Warranty stickers must still be intact.
We will always endeavour to complete work within estimated timescales given, normally between 1 and 14 days, however no compensation will be payable in regard of delays in completing work.

We then stress test the console to make sure the fans remain at normal volume levels even when the console is running graphics intensive games.
